Where to Stay
The bride and groom will be staying in Sintra from Monday, June 8th to Friday, June 12th, 2026. We would love for you to stay nearby, especially around Sintra's historic city centre. However, to allow everyone more flexibility, we have not reserved a block of rooms at a hotel. You are welcome to book your stay in whichever city you prefer.
The train from the Lisbon Airport (or central Lisbon) is very straightforward and takes you right to the heart of Sintra. The trip is a scenic one-hour ride through the countryside. If you would like to see the train route, here are the Google Maps directions.

Meet us at the Tapas Bar!
We are planning a get-together for our wedding guests at Tasco do Strauss, our favourite local tapas bar! It will be a fun opportunity for those who are in Sintra to mingle over sangria and get into the celebratory spirit before the wedding.

Notes on Travel
Our wedding falls on Portugal Day, a national holiday. We imagine that both locals and tourists will be celebrating. For this reason, we recommend booking your accommodations as soon as you can.
On the day of the wedding, please give yourself extra time to arrive to the shuttle pick-up spot or our venue as travel times may be longer than usual on Portugal Day.

When we finally had the chance to visit in the summer of 2024, we set off on a road trip across the entire country! We began in Porto wandering its cobbled streets and exploring the vibrant Bolhão Market, before exploring the historic Douro River wineries, and travelling south to end our journey among the dolphins in the bright blue sea of the Algarve.
